Summer Solstice Blessing: Saturday, June 23, 6:30 start time, 8:30ish end time.
At: Wood Lake Nature Center, 6710 Lake Shore Drive, Richfield, MN 55423 (street map). The event is a "go," rain or no rain - we have both indoor and outdoor space!
A jubilant evening of drumming, song, dance and shamanic ceremony of calling power into yourself so that you can jump up and live in beauty and awe, change your path, open your creative spirit, and make good decisions.
I'm so very happy that the fabulous Sister Tree will bring their unique musical skill and charm to the evening.
Bring drums, or borrow from the Great Pile 'O Wahoo! No reservations are needed for this, but fair warning:
capacity is about 80, and it's been pretty in years past.
Construction alert: 66th street between Portland Avenue and Lyndale means 66th will be closed. If you come from the west on 66th or from the north on Lyndale, you should be okay, but please be aware that you might be re-routed.
At about 8:30 - following the drumming/solstice ceremony, we offer 30 minute personal healing sessions among the trees. See below.

You are absolutely free to enter the experience in any way that is meaningful to you. You don't have to believe anything or do anything that is not authentic to you. You are free to see it as a theatrical performance, as a sacred ceremony, as surreal dance-spoken-word-art, as worship, or as a lucid dream. Wahoo, indeed. The performance space is wheelchair accessible. We love children, but this event is not suitable for young children.

8:30ish - 9:15ish: Personal healing ceremonies among the trees after the drumming
The summer solstice is a potent time for healing and vision work, and this land is a powerful place for it. The healing work begins at about 8PM. Plan on your work taking about 30 minutes, and dress to be out in nature. The first part of your healing ceremony will be done in a small group, led by Jaime Meyer. The second part will be individualized to you and held outside in the presence of the spirits of the land, and conducted by one of Jaime's student practitioners. The healing may involve plant-infused water, tobacco, feathers, fragrant water and bones. Fee: $45.
The mspits for personal healing are full. If you'd like a personal session with Jaime, make an appointment here.
