Summer Solstice Healing and Divination
Sunday, June 24
Questions?: [email protected]
This unique experience takes you through about an hour long experience of traditional healing techniques that I've learned from my experiences in Peru. First, you'll recieve a light plant bath of your hands, belly, heart and head. The bath uses the power of several plants. You won't get overly wet. Then you'll recieve a cleansing of negative energies using feathers and song. Then, a healing session with song, tobacco and divination, about 10 minutes. This clears negative patterns, and opens your "luminous-numinous" energies so that you can recieve the divination. With drum, rattle, and song, Jaime will ask the spirits what they want you to know as you head into the dark half of the year.
Location: The event is held in Jaime's house/studio (and in the backyard Spirit House) where hundreds of students and clients have met over the years. It is facilitated by Jaime and several of his Practitioner students. Note: the couple/family healing and divination focuses on the energies of the relationship, not on each individual. Address: 4227 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis.
"[It] was powerful, communal, and enlightening. The drums opening the way, and paths revealed to each person in the group of work to be done, wounds to be healed, spirits and ancestors to be honored and called upon...I felt a lesson and wise advice in each of the readings, my own and the ones for others, and to hold space for each other in such a vulnerable and sacred way was a great honor. ~R.H.
What a refreshing, sweetly challenging, insightful way to (celebrate). To take a step back, into an ancient spiritual art. Your colleagues are in short supply, Jaime. How glad am I to have both access and trust in the authenticity and sincerity of your expression in this courageous path you tread. -LJ
I enjoyed the tobacco ceremony, the support of the drummers, the seriousness of your process, and the the matter of fact-ness with which you communicated. There was no 'good or bad', just, "This is what I am getting". I appreciated that anyone would feel welcome regardless of their lack of participation in drumming or shamanic work in the past. -CS
